Skowhegan Girl

Margaret Chase at Age 6

The weeklong Skowhegan Girl program introduces young people aged 8 to 12 to the life of Margaret Chase Smith and activities of the early twentieth century. During the week, participants read a biography about Senator Smith, tour her house, visit Skowhegan's History House, listen to phonograph music, bake blueberry muffins, do craft projects, create paper dolls, play croquet, and make ice cream. For more information on the next session, or to have your name added to the mailing list, please contact Vanessa Caron at 474-7133.
