The Maine Historical Society has one of the original copies of the Declaration of Independence and it will be going on tour to all 16 counties in Maine to celebrate 250th year since it was written. The MCS Library is pleased to partner with MHS to be
#OTD in 1955, Senator Smith landed in Japan during her world trip where she met and interviewed over twenty world leaders to gain a better understanding of Cold War issues and to report as a CBS correspondent.
#OTD in 1949, Senator Smith met with the Sigma Kappa Sorority at Colby College in Waterville, Maine.
