#OTD in 1964 presidential candidate, Margaret Chase Smith took this picture while on the campaign trail in Illinois.
It's #TBT! #OTD in 1991 the Senator hosted a group of National Guard Officers from the office of Ernest C. Park.
#OTD in 2000, a future employee and friend of the Library, Ben Doty (right), visited our facility with the Cornville Webelos. Ben currently lives overseas and will be getting married this fall!
In honor of #WorldWildlife Day we note that the Senator had a vast collection of elephant figurines, that are currently on display in our museum. Does anyone want to guess why she has so many elephants?
