#OTD in 1977, Senator Smith received an honorary degree from St. Michael's College in Winooski, Vermont. She was looking cool in the shades. Congrats to all recent college grads!
#OTD in 1999, the temporary exhibit focusing on the many homes of Margaret Chase Smith opened. We now have a permanent display in the Library focused on her Skowhegan home. Come by the Library to check it out!
#OTD in 1944, Congresswoman Smith visited Camp Lejeune in North Carolina.
#OTD in 2017, Senator Susan Collins was the keynote speaker at our Maine Town Meeting.
