Happy #InternationalLiteracyDay! In celebration, we suggest the Senator's book "Declaration of Conscience" for some light reading.
On this #InternationalDayOfCharity we want to recognize the Senator's work with charitable organizations. She worked with many, but the March of Dimes was one she supported for years. Photos taken in 1948, 1968, and at a walkathon circa 1980.
The Margaret Chase Smith Library will be closed to the public tomorrow - Friday, September 5th. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes. Please come visit us some other time!
It's #TBT! OTD, Northwood University Margaret Chase Smith Fellowship students arrived from Michigan to spend time in Maine, soaking up the state's splendor and to contribute to the Library's mission of celebrating the Senator's life and legacy.
