#OTD in 1994 the Mid Maine Chapter of the American Red Cross presented the Senator with a plaque for her years of involvement with the organization.
#OTD in 1963 Senators Smith and Edmund Muskie attended the American Legion reception and took this photo with the Captain of the Maine Department of the Legion, Bertrand Lagueux.
It's #TBT! #OTD in 2001, a portrait of Senator Smith was delivered to then, Governor Angus King's office in Augusta, Maine.
